Funded under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the project is aimed to ease long hours of travel time which will help alleviate the living conditions of residents here allowing livelihood and economic opportunities.
Moreover, Rural Infrastructure Engineer Lester Bacual stated the road infrastructure will potentially stimulate agribusiness investment, increase coordination with buyers and further the inclusion of small farmers in far-off areas.
Engr. Bacual added that agriculture is the primary source of livelihood and income here wherein around 470 farmers are engaged in planting onion, palay, tomato, eggplant, string beans (sitao) and other lowland vegetables.
The FMR traverses the four barangays covering a total length of 3.76 kilometers that is seen to improve the mobility of produce, services and the general public. (Ma. Reina Len Luna, RPCO3 InfoACE)
