Quirino FMR notches up to 95%

As systematic as it did during the implementation of the four farm-to-market roads (FMRs) which were already turned over to the beneficiaries, the Provincial Government of Quirino maintains its efficient performance in the rehabilitation of NRJ-Gamis-Banuar-Calaocan FMR in Cabarroguis.

“It has 95. 56% physical accomplishment, with positive 22 slippages. It means that it is way ahead of schedule and it is near completion,” Engr. Ulysses Viernes, rural infrastructure engineer (RIE) said.

In terms of performance, Quirino was the host province during the Mid-term Review Mission on November 21-24, 2017 where World Bank’s team headed by Ms. Frauke Jungbluth assessed subproject implementation of the 11. 8 kilometer-NRJ-Palacian-Ramos FMR in Aglipay, Quirino.

The province also got the Most Efficient LGU in terms of I-BUILD fund disbursement Award, and Special Award as the First Proponent LGU in North Luzon Cluster with 100% physical completion of I-BUILD subproject during the Year End General Assembly on December 14, 2017, in Pampanga. Engr. Ulysses Viernes also received an award being an outstanding Rural Infrastructure Engineer for Quirino.

Likewise, NRJ-Ligaya-Villa Pagaduan; NRJ-Palacian-Ramos; PRJ-Dibibi-Dingasan and NRJ-Maria Clara-Gabriela Silang FMRs were earlier completed and turned over to the beneficiaries.

PRJ-Lusod-Sto. Nino and NRJ-Ricarte Sur-Dona Imelda-Magsaysay FMRs, with a total project cost of 190 million pesos await no objection letters (NOL 2) from the National Project Coordination Office.

Meanwhile, PLGU Quirino pushes NRJ-Dungo-San Salvador-Divisoria Sur and PRJ-Gundaway FMRs for funding under the World Bank’s additional financing. (Dr. Ferdinand N. Cortez, RPCO2 InfoACE)
