The Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) now covers 26 out of 27 provinces in Mindanao.

Currently, there are 237 subprojects under the Intensified Building Up of Infrastructure and Logistics for Development or I-BUILD component. This includes all the completed and ongoing projects in 26 provinces except in Camiguin.

Meanwhile, the Investments in Rural Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Productivity or IREAP Component has 97 ongoing projects in 21 provinces in Mindanao.

“As of now, Mindanao Cluster has a projected amount of P14.35 billion for all the infrastructure suprojects and P551.39 million for the enterprise development subprojects,” said PRDP’s Monitoring and Evaluation Unit Head Joseph Rico.

Mindanao cluster has the largest share of the total cost of original loan portfolio among the 4 clusters amounting to P8.094 billion or 41% of the PhP 19.804 Billion cost of approved  I-BUILD subprojects followed by Luzon A with 26%, Luzon B with 17%, and Visayas 16% share.

Projects under the infrastructure development components include 51 completed farm-to-market roads with a total length of 161.83 km amounting to PhP1.64 Billion,2 FMRs with bridge with a total length of 5.50 km and 69.5 linear meter worth PhP92.27 million, 2 Potable Water System (PWS) Level 2 worth PhP14.09 million, and 3 other Infrastructure subprojects worth P21.59 million.

There are 74 ongoing subprojects amounting to 5.22 billion which includes 56 FMRs with a total length of 416.83km amounting P4.55 billion, 4 FMRs with bridge with a total length of 33.91kms and 135.60 linear meter worth P518.79 million, 1 communal irrigation system serving 100 hectares worth P33.96 million, 7 potable water systems worth 34.03 million, and 6 other infrastructure subprojects worth 81.98 million.

The remaining 9 subprojects are issued with No Objection Letter 2 (NOL2) with a total amount of PhP163.77 million and 31 subprojects issued with NOL1 amounting to PhP935.99 million.

For enterprise development subproject portfolio, Mindanao Cluster share 26% to the overall portfolio in terms of cost. From the 97 IREAP subprojects, 16 subprojects worth P167 million are under implementation, the other 62 subprojects worth P198.96 million are under procurement stage, 2 subprojects worth P14 million are already endorsed for NOL 1 issuance, and 8 subprojects worth P89 million are already RPAB approved with ongoing business plan preparation for 9 subprojects worth P82 million.
