PRDP Enterprises in Palawan Spruce Up Online Selling Channels

Date Published: September 12, 2023

Enterprise Proponent Groups of the Philippine Rural Development Project from Palawan undergo training on Digital Marketing, July 4-5, 2023.

This training was attended by members of the Roxas Seed Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (RSGMPC) of the Palawan Cashew Processing Center, Aborlan Rainbow Marketing Cooperative of the Banana Trading, Processing and Marketing, and Tagumpay Agrarian Auto Savings Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TAAS MPC) of the Mango Processing Facility and Marketing.

During the said training, Marketing Specialist Ramon Policarpio talked the participants  through the fundamentals of Marketing. This was followed by a discussion on the shift to digital platforms led by Business Development Officer Ma. Christine Flor Pascua and Technical Writer Danica Brutas.

Participants were also given the chance to update their marketing plans and set up their digital channels following  the previous lectures.

Digital Marketing is one of the capacity-building interventions identified in the Capacity Development Plan of the attending organizations. This initiative from the Regional Project Coordination Office aimed to equip PGs with a competitive edge in today’s web-centered market.

This training workshop is not the first initiative of its kind from PRDP. In 2020, a three-day Digital Marketing Training was held online for PRDP enterprises. This was one of the first efforts of the Project to help its PGs navigate the changes brought about by the pandemic.

Following the said training, attending PGs will continue efforts to establish their brands on and offline. ### (Danica A. Brutas, DA-PRDP MIMAROPA RPCO InfoACE Unit)
