Inter-agency Convergence Aimed at Supporting Enterprise Subprojects

Date Published: March 10, 2021

Representatives from various national and local government agencies gathered in a one-day activity led by the I-PLAN & I-REAP components of the Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project last March 5, 2021 in General Santos City. The “Inter-agency Convergence to Support I-REAP subprojects” aims to provide institutionalized inter-agency support to proponent groups and to come up with a clear-cut strategy to bring together all enablers in the value chains from both the public and private sectors. By bringing together all players and identifying their roles in the value chain, it is hoped that the objectives set for the different enterprises supported by DA-PRDP would be met and sustained. For this activity, the Mua-an Cooperative and Masiah Farmers’s and Coffee Association were the invited proponent groups.

A memorandum of agreement was drafted at the end of the activity which identified the interventions each agency would provide in support of the proponent groups that were invited.

In attendance were representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), National Housing Authority (NHA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), City Tricycle Franchising and Regulatory Board (CTFRB), Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), Area Development Project Office (ADPO) Socskargen, Department of Agriculture RFO XII, and Mua-An Cooperative and Masiah Farmers and Coffee Associations.
