DA-PRDP Holds Subproject Appraisal Review For Camiguin FMR Project Proposal

MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN – Two Farm-to-Market Roads (FMRs) project proposals in the province of Camiguin underwent a Subproject Appraisal Review (SPAR) of the DA-Philippine Rural Development Project on August 15-16, 2023.

The two FMR proposals under the PRDP scale up include the 1.68 KM Rehabilitation and Improvement of Sitio Cabadiangan to Canaum, Pagatpatan, Barangay Bacnit, Sagay Road, and the 2.04 KM Rehabilitation of Barangay San Miguel to Sitio Tacangon, Barangay Poblacion, Mahinog Road.

Camiguin Provincial Governor Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo extended his gratitude to the DA-PRDP and he is hopeful for the go signal of the proposals.

“We are putting a special focus and emphasis on agriculture and we are seeking any help and assistance from the national government (and one is DA-PRDP) for the development of our agriculture sector,” Gov. Romualdo said.

The findings of the validation were then discussed with the body and are up for compliance from the LGU.

The SPAR was conducted by the RPCO 10 together with the National Project Coordination Office and Mindanao Project Support Office.

The DA-PRDP team comprised the following: representatives from NPCO are Engr. Legario B. David, NPCO IBUILD Component Head and Jerome M. Suarez, GIS Data Officer; PSO Mindanao, Engr. Danessa N.
