2nd Cagayan FMR edges up to 92% physical accomplishment
“Overall, the Portland Concrete Cement Pavement (PCCP) work of Namabbalan-Cabbo farm-to-market road has reached 99% accomplishment as per original plan. We are referring to the length and the stations already concreted. But if we base it on the total completed work according to the DED, it is 93. 32% for all segments,” Engr. Edmund Bert Banzali, Regional Project Coordination Office 2 (RPCO 2) Roads and Bridges Specialist said during the inspection of the farm-to-market road (FMR).
“The civil works for the Cagayan Dairy Enterprise is 100% completed while Package 2, the bridges, has registered 96.19% of actual physical accomplishment. It is now substantially complete,” he said.
The farm-to-market road (FMR) has three segments and segment 1 is already 100% complete. Segment 2 is 99% while segment 3 is 93%. Banzali said that remaining works include line canal, headways and stone masonry which caused the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Cagayan to request for a variation order.
A variation order specifies alterations in the original plan. It also gives formal instruction in the alteration in the scope of works.
Cagayan’s first FMR, Iraga-Bayabat has been inaugurated earlier and has been turned over to the beneficiaries.
The Rehabilitation of Iraga-Bayabat FMR was adjudged as the best FMR in North Luzon cluster in terms of Physical Progress, Documentation, Operations, Maintenance, and SES Compliance. Engr. Edmund Bert Banzali was awarded Outstanding Rural Infrastructure Engineer (RIE) of the subproject.
Likewise, the Regional Project Coordination Office 2 (RPCO 2) was also declared as the Most Efficient Region in terms of GGU Compliances, Most Improved RPCO in terms of Procurement in the North Luzon Cluster for C.Y. 2018, and Most Efficient Region in terms of Monitoring and Evaluation.
The civil works of Cagayan Dairy Enterprise in segment 3 is composed of silo, milking barn, warehouse and animal shed.
