The Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) in Cagayan Valley approved two (2) IREAP subprojects yesterday, October 10, 2022, during its 34th regular meeting.

The Tilapia Fingerlings Production and Marketing Enterprise of the Santiago Amos Credit Cooperative and Development Cooperative (SACDECO) of Santiago City and the Aromatic and Pigmented Rice Production and Marketing Enterprise of the Cagayan Seed Producers Multi-purpose Cooperative (CSPMPC) of Solana Cagayan presented their proposed subproject before the RPAB members headed by Regional Executive and Project Director Narciso A. Edillo.

Edillo said the timely approval of the SPs aims to strengthen and develop viable agriculture-and fishery-based enterprises by providing technical, financial, and infrastructure support to eligible groups in targeted project areas within the priority value chains identified under the Regional AMPs and Value Chain Analysis-based Provincial Commodity Investment Plans (PCIPs).

SACDECO Manager Fernando Fajardo showed his gratitude to the group for the approval of their enterprise. ” Thank you to the team behind this success, after two years of working so hard our enterprise will become a reality,” he quipped.

For his part, CSMPCP Vice Chairman Roberto Cauilan thanked the board for approving their Aromatic and Pigmented Rice enterprise. He said they would do their best to make this enterprise a success.

The approved subprojects will be endorsed to North Luzon Project Support Office (PSO) for further review and approval. Afterwhich, the same will be endorsed to the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO) for approval and issuance of a No Objection Letter (NOL 1) after a rigorous review.
