Magsaysay Coop Receives PhP23.5 M Enterprise Support from DA-PRDP 10
MAGSAYSAY, MISAMIS ORIENTAL – The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10), through the Enterprise Component (I-REAP), officially turned over the Coconut Sauce Processing and Marketing Enterprise to the Mindulao Farmers Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (MINFARCCO) on August 20, in barangay Cabubuhan, this town.
The enterprise, worth PhP23.5 million under the Second Additional Financing with European Union Co-financing Grant (AF-2 EU), is composed of a processing facility (PhP 7.8 M) a hauling truck (PhP 3 M), a delivery truck (PhP 2.8M), processing equipment (PhP 4M), site development and pre-operations (PhP 2.8M), and working capital (PhP 2.8M).
DA-10 Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga lauded MINFARCCO for its proactive efforts in availing interventions, not only from DA-PRDP but also from other government agencies.

“I just hope that with these interventions, especially the enterprise provided by DA-PRDP 10, you will take good care of it and make the most out of it so that it becomes prosperous and sustainable.” Madriaga added.
For MINFARCCO, the turnover marked the realization of a long-time aspiration.
“All our dreams for our cooperative have truly been fulfilled through DA-PRDP,” said Romel C. Ratilla, MINFARCCO Chairman.
“This is a great help to our cooperative and will also provide additional income for our farmers and members, helping them meet their daily needs. We promise to utilize this intervention through cooperation and we will do our best for our cooperative to prosper.”
The intervention is expected to not only strengthen the cooperative’s enterprise operations but also uplift the livelihood of farmers and their families, as well as the coop members in Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental.
