Two farmers’ co-ops from the province of La Union—Pal-lim Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC) (Bauang) and San Fermin Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries MPC (Caba)—recently completed a three-day training on values formation and organizational strengthening last week in the City of San Fernando.

This training aims to equip the members of the co-ops with essential skills for making values-oriented decisions and promoting collaborations to ensure the continued success of the organizations.

Invited experts for the training were Cooperative Development Authority’s Provincial Cooperative Development Specialist Ms. Constancia A. De Guzman and Cooperative Development Specialist II Engineer Marwin C. Peralta.

The Pal-lim MPC and San Fermin ARB MPC are recipients of enterprise subprojects funded by the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) under its original loan financing scheme.

The former received a Php 14.6M grant for the “Green Carabao Mango Production, Consolidation, and Marketing Enterprise,” while the latter was awarded a Php 4.1M grant for the “Production and Marketing of Mungbean Enterprise.”
