DA-PRDP turns over Php330m-worth of subprojects in Bohol

Central Visayas– The Department of Agriculture–Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) formally handed over a total of over P330 million worth of subprojects to the Province of Bohol during a two-day ceremonial turnover held from August 22 to 23, 2025. The projects include farm-to-market roads, enterprise facilities, and civil works across several municipalities.

Turnover Highlights:
Day 1 – August 22, 2025
• Rehabilitation of the Pondol to Candaigan Farm-to-Market Road in Loon
• Rehabilitation of the Campagao to Cabacnitan Farm-to-Market Road in Bilar
• Feed mill for the Bohol Feeds Production and Marketing Enterprise in Lagtangan, Sevilla

Day 2 – August 23, 2025
• Vegetable Consolidation Facility for the Bohol Highland Vegetables Consolidation and Marketing Enterprise in Guio-ang, Guindulman
• Bohol Silage Production and Marketing Enterprise in Poblacion, San Miguel
• Bohol Cassava Production, Consolidation, Processing, and Marketing Enterprise in Carmen

The ceremonial events were led by DA Region 7 Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez, CESO III, and Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado. Both officials reflected on the project’s journey from its modest beginnings to overcoming implementation challenges and recognized the significant impact of these initiatives on local communities.

In her message, Director Enriquez emphasized the importance of maintaining the facilities and continuing the enterprises’ operations. She urged stakeholders to maximize the benefits of the projects, especially for local farmers.

“Karon nga naa na ang project, prove to us that we were right in defending and approving these projects. E prove nato nga daghan pang matabangan na farmers and I hope nga ang source of our raw materials will be coming from our farmers.”

Enriquez also assured beneficiaries of continued technical support from DA to ensure the growth and sustainability of the enterprises.
