Communities Take Active Role in Monitoring PRDP Subprojects in MisOcc

Date Published: July 10, 2025

To engage communities in project implementation in Misamis Occidental, the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10), in collaboration with the Project Support Office Mindanao (PSO Mindanao), conducted a four-day Citizens Monitoring Team (CMT) Training from July 8 to 11, 2025.

The training prepared the local residents and barangay officials with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively monitor infrastructure projects in their areas, ensuring compliance with World Bank guidelines and DA-PRDP standards for transparency, accountability, and quality implementation.

Participants were trained on monitoring techniques, including geotagging and utilizing KoboToolbox for streamlined and precise field data collection.

The CMT members are formed from municipalities implementing two major farm-to-market road (FMR) subprojects: the Paypayan–Binuangan–Senote–Clarin Settlement FMR in Oroquieta City and the Panalsalan–Cartagena–Luzaran–Dampalan–Macalibre Alto FMR in Plaridel. #
