The Regional Project Coordination Office 1 (RPCO 1) welcomes Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Research & Regulatory and Admin & Finance Gloria C. Parong as new Deputy Project Director and Mr. Roosevelt B. Peralta as the new Admin Unit Head by virtue of Special Orders Nos. 33 & 34 issued on June 14, 2019.

RTD for Research & Regulatory and Admin & Finance Gloria C. Parong served previously as the Chief of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS). She was then promoted as the Supervising Agriculturist of the Research and Development Division while working as the Chief of Staff of Regional Executive Director Lucrecio R. Alviar Jr., CESO III.

Under the PRDP, RTD Parong was appointed as Social and Environmental Safeguards (SES) Unit head on February 20, 2014. On May 2, 2017, she was re-appointed as Admin Unit head.

During the first coordination meeting of the RPCO 1 on July 2, 2019, RTD Parong said “We are doing good. You are doing good. Everybody’s doing good as evidenced by the awards that we continue to reap.  But my appeal is that, let’s not be so complacent. Sana ‘yong ating enthusiasm will be all the more higher, all the more fueled by these kinds of awards that we’ve been receiving, these assessments from our supervisors, the PSO and NPCO.”

Meanwhile, Department of Agriculture RFO 1 Personnel Section Head Roosevelt Peralta replaced RTD Parong as the Admin Unit Head of the RPCO 1. Mr. Peralta is the Project Development Officer IV of the Planning , Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED). He also serves as the Personnel Section Head of the Department. #
