Proponent Groups Present Business Plan for 2019

The Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 10) expected to increase the number of its enterprise development subprojects in 2019 after they conducted the three-day business plan enhancement and eligibility requirement of the (7) Proponent Groups (PGs) last December 4-6, 2018 in Cagayan de Oro City.

The Proponent Groups who presented their business plan were the Linao Fishermen Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Iligan City for Abaca Twine Process and Marketing; Bugcaon Kulasihan Manupali Irrigator’s Association of Lantapan Bukidnon for Cacao Processing and Marketing; Impalutao Dalwangan Sawaga ARC of Malaybalay City for Arabica Coffee Processing and Marketing; Bualan ARC Cooperative of Tubod, Lanao del Norte for Banana Trading Processing and marketing; Tambo Farmers Marketing Cooperative of Naawan, Misamis Oriental for Cacao Processing and Marketing; Buenacama ARC of Tudela, Misamis Occidental for Abaca Processing and Marketing and Maunlad Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Cagayan de Oro City for Banana Trading Processing and Marketing.

“It’s good to know that we have new upcoming projects because this means that we can help more farmers and association soon. I hope that we can fast-track our revisions so that we can see them being implemented by next year,” said PRDP Project Director Carlene C. Collado.

The business plans are reviewed thoroughly based on the eligibility requirements posted by PRDP that needs to be complied by the PGs. The suggestions and recommendations of the PRDP component’s representatives present during the review will be incorporated in the business plan portfolio.

After this, there will be a Joint Technical Review (JTR) of NPCO, PSO and RPCO that will help to further enhance the business plan.
