Date Published: June 13, 2019

After the inauguration ceremonies for the three (3) Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP)-funded warehouses in Santiago City, the City Project Management and Implementing Unit (CPMIU) and the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) held a pre-procurement conference for the Rehabilitation of Baluarte-Sinili farm-to-market road (FMR) on April 30, 2019.

“We have come this far and we are happy that we have submitted all the requirements needed by the PRDP. Warehouses for the Mungbean Seed Production, Mungbean Production and Marketing and Peanut Production and Marketing Enterprises have just been turned over to the proponent groups and the equipment needed were already delivered. Now, we soon start to construct the FMRs. We have just started constructing the civil works for the Beef Cattle Production and Marketing Enterprise,” Dr. Rodelio D. Diego, CPMIU Head said.

“The 7.32 kilometer-Baluarte-Sinili FMR directly supports peanut, identified as one of the top commodities of Santiago City. The estimated project cost is 82.8 million pesos,” Dr. Freddie B. Corsino, RPCO 2 Action Officer said.

The pre-procurement conference was presided over by Atty. Artemio Villaluz, Jr., BAC Chairman. Engr. Joel Reconsal, I-BUILD Component Head, CPMIU presented the detailed engineering design.

Rizal-Abra, Calaocan-Batal, and Sinsayon-Cabulay are three more FMRs awaiting No Objection Letters (NOL 1) from the National Project Coordination Office. (Dr. Ferdinand N. Cortez, RPCO2 InfoACE)
