Date Published: September 24, 2020

Four ongoing I-BUILD subprojects in North Luzon cluster recorded the highest positive variance among all SPs under the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), as of August 2020.

This indicates that the subprojects’ actual accomplishments are ahead of the targeted construction schedule based on the uploaded Program of Works in the Project’s Management Information System (MIS) portal.

The province of Kalinga topped the nationwide ranking with the Improvement of Bado Dangwa-Guilayon Farm to Market Road in Tabuk City, achieving a positive slippage of 26%. The project is jointly constructed by Omengan Construction and Development Corporation & Royal Sea Bees Construction.

The first FMR implemented by Santiago City in Isabela ranked second – the Rehabilitation of Baluarte-Sinili FMR by NTL Builders and Developer, achieving 23% above current target.

Third on the list is the Rehabilitation of Parasapas FMR and Parasapas Bridge in the province of La Union by Goldrich Construction and Trading with 21% above target.

The Construction of Cold Storage in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija has also recorded progress ahead of target, ranking fourth nationwide (tied with Negros Occidental) with 18% variance. The cold storage project is managed by ARN Builders.

The mentioned subprojects have consistently gone beyond their physical progress target since the start of their implementation.

Other subprojects in the cluster that achieved beyond targets as of August include Rehabilitation of National Road Junction- Ricarte Sur-Magsaysay FMR in Quirino, and the Construction of Warehouse with Solar Dryer in Isabela. (Kayla Arceo, North Luzon InfoACE)
