More IREAP Business Plan Subprojects due for final packaging

The Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project, Regional Coordination Office 10   (DA PRDP RPCO 10) is looking forward for the approval of IREAP subprojects as the Joint Technical Review (JTR) of the Business Plans (BPs) was conducted on April 23-26, 2019 in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

Regional Technical Director/IREAP Component Head Carmelita T. Bajarla informed that RPCO 10 has 4 BPs on the pipeline that undergo JTR review by the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), Project Support Office (PSO) and RPCO 10.

Director Bajarla encouraged the proponent groups together with the RPCO team to firm up and comply the needed documents suggested during the JTR. This will enable them to final package the business plan which will then be endorsed to PSO mid of May for final review and endorsement to NPCO by June 2019. The Regional Project Approving Board (RPAB) review is expected to happen mid-June 2019 while the endorsement and issuance of No Objection Letter (NOL1) is expected by end of June 2019.

The four BPs with a total project cost of Php 12,000,000.00 (Php 3,000,000.00 each) will be undergoing final packaging. These are the Bualan Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (BARCOCO) for the Banana Trading, Processing and Marketing; The Agus 5/6 Linao Fishermen and Farmers Multi-Purpose  Cooperative (ALFFMPC) of Ma. Cristina, Iligan City for their Abaca Cordage Processing and Marketing; the Buenacama Agrarian Reform Cooperative (BUCARCO) of Tudela, Misamis Occidental for their Abaca Fiber Processing and Marketing; the Bugcaon-Kulasihan-Manupali Irrigators’ Association (BUKUMAIA) of Lantapan, Bukidnon for their Fermented Dried Cacao Beans Processing and Marketing.

On the other hand, 6 ongoing IREAP subprojects with a total cost of Php 36,969,416.27 were already issued with NOL 1 before the end of December, 2018 and now on its procurement stage. These are the Paglaum Multi-purpose Cooperative of Plaridel, Misamis Occidental worth Php 2,228,654.25; Northern Mindanao Federation of Dairy Farmers Association of El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental with project cost of Php 13,830,239.09;  Dulag Farmers Association of Dulag, Iligan City worth Php 2,328,713.48; Simbuco Aquamarine Multi-purpose Cooperative of Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte with a project cost of Php 7,243,400.00; Balaoro Farmers Association of Kadingilan with Php 6,105,947.82 worth of project and RIC Kape Maramag of Maramag Bukidnon with a project cost of Php 5,232,461.63. The RPCO 10 is optimistic that the NOL 2 for this subprojects will be issued before the end of this year.
