I-REAP strengthens plans for enterprise sustainability

As more enterprise subprojects progress into implementation stage, the I-REAP component looks into working on more strategic plans towards project sustainability

Following safety protocols, the North Luzon I-REAP component held its first NPCO-PSO-RPCO coordination meeting of the year, with representatives from all components and units both virtually and on-site on January 20-22 in Subic, Zambales.

The meeting was also a venue to discuss measures on fast-tracking physical and financial targets for the year, major strategies in generating viable enterprises, crafting the I-REAP Work and Financial Plan and other related concerns.

Key actions from 11th Mission

The previous World Bank Implementation Support Mission underlined significant points of improvement and expected key actions from the component.

On sustaining the operations of simultaneous enterprise rollouts across the cluster, more systematic and innovative approaches are being explored that benefit the entire project in terms of monitoring and documentation.

Regular exchanges of information that highlight best practices will enable wider circulation of strategic catch-up plans across all levels from the national to regional offices. These will be done through coordination meetings and other modalities.

The project likewise looks into possibilities for proponent groups to take out insurance policies covering damages caused by natural calamities and other risks.

North Luzon cluster remains in the lead of enterprise subproject implementation with a total of 264 completed SPs or about 62% of the total completed enterprises under PRDP. (Kayla Arceo, PSO InfoACE)
