DA-PRDP TO COMPLETE P51-M LLANERA FMR PROJECT SOON

Llanera, NUEVA ECIJA – The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) is set to complete the P51 million San Jose- San Nicolas via A. Bonifacio Farm to Market Road (FMR) leading to reliable and economical access, here.

This was revealed during the joint inspection conducted by the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 3) headed by Action Officer Gil G. David, together with the Project Support Office (PSO) and the Provincial Project Management and Implementing Unit (PPMIU) of Nueva Ecija on February 21, 2020.

According to I-BUILD Rural Infrastructure Engineer Lester Bacual, the FMR is slated to be completed in May of 2020 which is a way to support agricultural production and uplift the living condition of farm-beneficiaries in the area.

“The FMR will indeed provide better production in this part of Nueva Ecija,” Engr. Bacual added.

The joint inspection was likewise conducted for the 5th billing of the subproject where it has achieved 63% in its physical accomplishment, he added.

With the construction and improvement of the FMR, the beneficiaries are encouraged to plant more onion, vegetables and boost palay trading in the community.

Funded by the DA-PRDP and the PLGU, more FMRs are paving the way in supporting the agricultural sector in reaching far-flung areas where farmer-beneficiaries are given new opportunities and additional livelihood to augment their income. (Ma. Reina Len Luna, RPCO3 InfoACE)
