DA-PRDP COOPERATIVES HAND RELIEF GOODS DURING PANDEMIC

Some 24 cooperatives of the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) from Region 3 initiated various relief and cash assistance distribution during the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) prioritizing those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Roughly 2,500 beneficiaries which comprises medical frontliners, barangay peace and security officers and households benefited from the distribution.

Many welcomed it, saying there were deprived families who needed the food packs and cash assistance in this period of difficulty.

The DA – PRDP commended the cooperatives for their relentless efforts in packing the relief goods for the frontliners of the community.

Among the cooperatives who joined the relief distribution are Pulung Buli, Nagkakaisang Magsasaka Agricultural PMPC, Villabar PMPC, Samahang Magsasaka ng Langos Proper Farmers Association Inc., Pindangan 2nd PMPC, Simula ng Panibagong Bukas (SIPBU) MPC, Zambales Upland Farmers MPC, Gawad Serbisyo sa Mamamayan ng Barangay Public Service Cooperative, Hagonoy Fish Farmers Producers Cooperative, Sacred Heart Credit and Development Cooperative, Sapang MPC, Laung Cupang Farmers Field School Producers Cooperative, Sulong Ani Magsasaka Producers Cooperative, GP – 125 Golden Pance MPC, Dalig-Hobol Irrigators Association Inc., Amungan Farmers MPC, Association of Namatacan Irrigators Association, Botolan Muna Farmers MPC, Nagbayan FFS Farmers Association, Caut FFS Marketing Cooperative, Raniag PMPC, Hardinero Agriculture Cooperative, Tarlac Okra Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, San Sotero PMPC.
