Cabanatuan City, NUEVA ECIJA – The Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) jumpstarted this year by conducting its first business plan preparation and workshop for the proposed subproject – Establishment of Onion Cold Storage (Consolidation and Marketing) in Bongabon held from January 7-8, 2021 at the Harvest Hotel, here.

Spearheaded by the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 3) in cooperation with the Project Support Office (PSO), the activity is intended to develop appropriate strategies in placing measurable objectives and tracking successful results.

Representatives and counterparts from the local government unit (LGU), Municipal Project Management and Implementing Unit (MPMIU) of Bongabon and the proponent group Valiant Primary Multi-Purpose Cooperative similarly engaged in the discussion.

Besides, technical staff from the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO) were able to join the two-day activity through the Google Meet online platform.

Apart from the discussion, the team set-up a timeline for the compliance of the business plan and necessary documents prior to the conduct of the Joint Technical Review (JTR).

Further, the activity aims to draft and prepare the business plan write-up, formulate the economic and financial analysis and comply with the necessary documents from each component and unit for the approval of the subproject.
