Additional P1.58-B infra projects for Mindanao undergo review

Philippine Rural Development Project continues its goal to expand opportunities for rural communities with new proposals for infrastructure project which recently undergone the joint technical review last November 6-9, 2018.

The four-day activity was participated by the technical staff from the National Project Coordination Office, Project Support Office Mindanao, and Regional Coordination Office.

This review was conducted to provide a faster consolidation of output on the findings and recommendation from the technical working group. This fast-track the review process by eliminating layers of review procedure and compliance.

Participants had a one-on-one discussion on the comments and recommendations from the NPCO which provided venue for the concerned technical staff to clarify, ask suggestion, and raise questions on the proposals they submitted.

This include Region 9 which has 5 proposed farm-to-market road worth P414.17 million with a combined length of 24.02 kilometers; Region 10 with four proposals worth P246.23 million composed of 13.71 km FMR, one unit warehouse with solar drier, and one unit fermentation boxes and shed; Region 13 with three proposals for FMRs worth P298.5 million with a combined length of 21.08 km with 30 m bridge; ARMM with three FMRs worth 486.57 million and a total length of 25.916 km; and Region 12 with one 7.37 km FMR worth P137 million.

“It has been a productive week for all of us. I would like to commend the NPCO and RPCO team for their time and for responding to our request to have this joint technical review. Through this gathering, we can fast-track our process that will lead to materializing these proposals,” said I-BUILD Component head Engr. Arneil A. Sosa.

The 18 IBUILD subproject proposals amounting to P1761.54 billion for year 2020-2022 will be under the Foreign Exchange (FOREX) Gain Budget.

After the review, five proposals from Region 9 will be scheduled for Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) approval and three proposals from ARMM will have the Re-ARPAB while the rest still need to revise and comply the lacking documents.
