PRDP-Bicol commits to sustain overall performance in South Luzon

MATAASNAKAHOY, BATANGAS – “It’s a challenge for the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) to achieve more best accomplishments.”

This was underscored by the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Bicol RPCO Deputy Project Director, Adelina Losa, as she received the office’s Best Overall Performance Award during the PRDP Project Support Office (PSO) South Luzon – RPCO First Quarter Assessment and Second Quarter Planning Workshop held on April 10-12, 2019, this municipality.

In I-PLAN Component, Bicol RPCO received the Best Performing RPCO for the translation of new Value Chain Analysis (VCAs) to Provincial Commodity Investment Plans (PCIPs).

The RPCO also bagged the Best Performing RPCO in infrastructure development (I-BUILD) and enterprise development (I-REAP) components, in terms of physical progress and financial progress, and Highest Portfolio of Completed Subprojects in I-REAP.

Moreover, the office was awarded as Best Managed Management Information System (MIS). In total, Bicol RPCO bagged eight out of 11 awards.

As of March 31, 2019, the RPCO has P1.20 billion-worth of obligation and P0.57 billion cumulative disbursements for I-BUILD. It achieved 47 percent of the actual physical and financial progress.

For I-REAP, the office has P90.99 million-worth of obligation and P49.47 million cumulative disbursements. The RPCO was able to attain 27 percent of its physical target and 54 percent financial progress.

Furthermore, PRDP PSO South Luzon Deputy Project Director Shandy Hubilla reminded the RPCOs to practice consistency, commitment, and cooperation to reach the cluster’s physical and financial targets for April and May 2019.
