2 road improvement subprojects in region 3 approved by RPAB

The Regional Project Coordination Office Central Luzon (RPCO3) conducted a Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) meeting on the Approval of Infrastructure Development Subprojects in Angeles, Pampanga last February 12, 2019 in Angeles, Pampanga.

Led by DA-RFO 3 and Project Support Office (PSO) Project Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr. as chairman of the board, other board members in attendance were Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz, Jr. DA-RFO 3 RTD for Research, Regulatory and Integrated Laboratory Division, Iluminado Ocampo of DAR, ARD Loreta M. Malaluan of DPWH, Ms. Vilma V. Garcia of DENR, Russell Gotiangco of DILG, and Leonor Paningbatan of DTI.

RPCO3 personnel and proponent local government personnel of Bataan and Bulacan were also present in the meeting.

Before the presentation of proposed subprojects RPCO3 Action Officer Gil G. David gave updates regarding the current status of subprojects in Region 3.

The first subproject presented is the Improvement of Sitio Nazareno – Culis Farm to Market Road (FMR) in Hermosa Bataan. The proposed FMR is 5.72 kilometers in length, 10 meters in width and will pass through Barangays; Bamban and Culis in Hermosa, Bataan.

The subproject is expected to support in the production and hauling activities of commodities such as; mango, rice, sweetpotato, cassava, and coconut.

The province of Bulacan also proposed a FMR subproject, the Improvement of Gabihan – Basuit – Sapang Putik Farm to Market Road in San Ildefonso, Bulacan. The proposed FMR is 5.18 kilometers in length, 8 meters in width, and will pass through Barangays; Gabihan, Basuit, and Sapang Putik.

Once improved the FMR is expected to support in the production and hauling activities of commodities; ampalaya, rice, string beans, tomato and mango.

After the meticulous discussion of the 2 proposed FMR subprojects the members of the RPAB approved the subrojects for funding.

Moreover, the proponent local government units are reminded to secure all necessary documents for the proposed subprojects for the immediate start of construction. (Kayla Lingad, RPCO3 InfoACE)
